Escrow is a service provided by a trusted third party that serves as an intermediary to improve the security of transactions. An escrow can be utilized, for instance, while purchasing and selling products.

 

How it works: 

The escrow provider will notify the seller to deliver the goods/provide a service to the buyer after receiving payment from the buyer and depositing the purchase amount.

The escrow provider then transfers the full purchase price to the seller once it has been established that the buyer has indeed acquired the goods/services.

In the event that the buyer hasn't received the goods/services (damaged goods, subpar services, etc), the buyer can send them to the escrow service. The buyer does not need to haggle over the return with the seller since ComplyChain serves as a mediator.
